In the year 1947, originally ‘Bharat Dairy’ a small dairy entered into dairy business with single product i.e. Milk. With the strong trust, support of the customers and vision of Mehta family, it has become one of the leading contributer of white revolution of India. The commitment towards quality, service and timeless efforts has made this growth possible.
The maturity of experience resulted into development of products bases like Curd, Cream, Ghee, Butter, Chakka etc.
To cater the expectations and growing demands of market, Bharat Dairy launched the most popular Indian sweets like Shrikhand, Mango Shrikhand and Basundi. Other Milk products like Paneer, Butter and Cream were also produced and marketed under the brand name ‘Sphurti’. Really; ‘Sphurti’ products have the endless taste for all celebrations & too good to resist.
The ever increasing demand has scaled up our vision. In the year 1989, technologically advanced and mechanised plant was installed in the Industrial area at Gokul Shirgaon, near Kolhapur with a new name ‘Mehta Dairies’ which facilitated us to process the Milk much faster & hygienically which in turn made it possible to produce hygienic, pure & tasty ‘Sphurti’ products.
The whole process of milk handling is done in a most hygienic way. After Milk collection at the chilling centre the chilled milk brought to the main processing plant and packed by fully automatic Nichrome FFS (Form Fill Seal) Machine. The entire process of Milk, handling from the chilling centers to plant & plant to the consumer is done without direct human touch to the product. To add to this, all milk coming from the chilling centre is passed through a centrifugal milk clarifier, which enables removal of unwanted foreign particles from the milk.
The rich culture of India with its various Indian festivals has offered us many chances for celebrations. The celebration right from birthdays, anniversaries to marriages & auspicious days has witnessed the real taste of celebration. ‘Sphurti’ A taste too good to resist.
‘Sphurti’ Shrikhand is blended with Pure Keshar (Saffron from Kashmir) & Elaichi (Cardamom) is really the subtle art of celebration.

So, presently ‘Sphurti’ products are being marketed from Kolhapur to Karad, Satara, Sangli, Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, Ahemednagar, Sholapur, Belgaum, Dharwad, and Hubli up to Davangiri market.
‘Sphurti’ Deshi Butter, in bulk pack, is very much popular in northern part of India like Delhi, Haryana, U.P., M.P. etc. Also in southern part of India like Karnataka, Tamilnadu etc. & Also in western part of India like Gujarat, Rajasthan etc.
